South Boulder Road Multimodal Improvement Project
Week of March 17:
Traffic Advisory: Signal Infrastructure Installation Event – March 23, 2024 |
The installation of new traffic signal infrastructure is scheduled for Saturday, March 23, as early as 7am on 120th Street at the South Boulder Road intersection. We anticipate this essential upgrade may cause temporary traffic delays of approximately 15-20 minutes. In addition, residents and travelers in the area should expect some noise due to construction activities. This includes the use of power tools and the sound of work trucks backing in and out of the installation site. We anticipate the noise impact will last approximately one hour. |
Temporary traffic signal on 120th Street, north of South Boulder Road |
Starting as soon as Wednesday, Feb. 28, traffic on 120th Street, north of the intersection at South Boulder Road, will be in a temporary single lane, alternating traffic configuration for motorists. A temporary traffic signal will be in place to direct traffic. The traffic signal and lane closure will be set up 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and will be in place for approximately two weeks. After work north of the intersection is complete, as early as March 13, the work will shift south of South Boulder Road, and the temporary traffic signal will be in place for approximately two weeks. Heavy traffic impacts are expected. |
The eastern Round Table Drive entrance to Boulder Ridge Mobile Home Park will remain closed for approximately six months.
Sir Galahad Drive, north of South Boulder Road - Alternating traffic |
Starting as soon as Wednesday, Feb. 28, Sir Galahad Drive, near the South Boulder Road intersection, will be reduced to one lane of alternating traffic, controlled by flaggers for a couple of days while crews replace the gas line. There may be gas odor present in the area during this work. Construction activities are weather-dependent and subject to change, which may impact schedule and construction duration. |
New traffic alignment on South Boulder Road |
The asphalt roadway paving work on the south side of South Boulder Road is now complete and traffic has been shifted on the south side of the road. The new traffic alignment allows crews to start construction on the north side of South Boulder Road. |
Please use caution in the work zone and follow construction signage. Construction schedules are weather-dependent and subject to change.
