We want to hear from you - Lafayette is listening!

Lafayette-Listens is an easy to use, online engagement tool community members can access to conveniently share input and discuss ideas with the City of Lafayette. The Lafayette-Listens platform was designed to provide our residents with an additional way to engage with elected officials and City staff. Your participation will help inform decisions and generate dialog for City projects.

The City of Lafayette values our residents’ opinions and believes effective community participation is an essential part of a productive and successful local government. We’ve launched this new community engagement platform to provide you with an innovative and convenient way to share ideas -- ask questions -- provide input -- and learn about ongoing projects.

Everyone is pressed for time these days, and we realize attending meetings isn’t always possible. And for some, attending public meetings just isn’t desirable. Lafayette-Listens offers an additional option to contribute to community conversations. The site is available 24/7 from the comfort of your own home, and allows you to participate at your convenience.

Why Lafayette Listens?

  • Quick and convenient way for you to weigh in on projects and issues. You don't have to attend a meeting to have your input be heard.

  • Participate in structured discussions with your neighbors to better understand other points of view on community topics.

  • Provides the opportunity to share input in a variety of ways.

Look around the site and start sharing your input and ideas… we're listening!

While registration isn't required to access all of the Lafayette-Listens platform, it is necessary for many of the more interactive engagement opportunities like commenting on projects and surveys. Our goal is to encourage a wide array of perspectives and have the ability to keep participants updated.

    • Registration promotes accountability which encourages participants to provide more thoughtful responses because feedback can be attributed to their user name. This in turn helps ensure a wider array of perspectives are represented.

    • Also important, registration allows you to sign up to be notified when new information is available on specific projects.
