We are reviewing all the feedback we received from the public, city boards, staff, and the Colorado Water Conservation Board. This feedback will be used to revise the Plan into its final version. Look for the final version of the Plan to be adopted by City Council this fall.
The Lafayette Water Readiness Plan - Water Efficiency and Drought (Plan) is an integrated water-efficiency and drought-response plan developed in accordance with the State of Colorado's requirements. The purpose of the Plan is to reduce long-term water use by promoting water efficiency in non-drought years and to protect the health and safety during drought and water shortages by ensuring reliable water supplies and, to the extent possible, supporting community well-being, local livelihoods, and environmental stewardship.
