This summer, the City of Lafayette gathered community input to guide the vision for the 701 Pocket Park. Residents shared that they want the park to be:
- Welcoming and peaceful
- Playful and kid-friendly
- Rooted in nature with plenty of shade and greenery
- A community hub for gathering, dining, and picnicking
- Creative and artsy to reflect Old Town Lafayette’s character
Based on this feedback, the design team created three initial concepts. All of them include:
- Play areas for young kids
- Shady seating and picnic spots
- A mix of plants and trees
- Spaces to relax and enjoy
Each concept highlights different features, and now we want to know which elements matter most to you as we move toward a final design.
Your input will help decide what’s included when the park is built.
